Finnian Hopper emerged from Alexandria, Virginia in 2015 as an musician, actor, and dancer. She is currently spending her time in the greater Los Angeles area, where she is focusing on broadening her music skills as well solidifying a pedagogical path at the California Institute of the Arts. Heading into her fourth official year as a teacher, she is shifting focus from directing Musical theater productions, to teaching voice, songwriting, and piano one-on-one.
In July of 2020 she released her debut album, “A Long Time Coming,” a collection of songs written between 2015 and 2017, filled with relatable emotions and reactions through love, heartbreak, and melancholia.
Finnian’s motto has always been “nothing fancy,” and this hold’s true within her music. She doesn’t strive for perfection or newness - she aims to make people feel. With simple lyrics and simple chords you can hear the raw emotion behind every note and feel every plucked heart string or tear that was shed, especially if you are lucky enough to see her perform live.
She is here to share her happiness, sadness, confidence, fear, love, and loss with nothing fancy.
